La artista Ángela Maria Botero, se inicia en la pintura de la mano de su madre, quien le inculca su gusto por la pintura al óleo, ampliando su técnica y conocimientos con el Maestro Carlos Tulio Suárez, egresado de la Universidad Nacional con el que aprende el soporte y su imprimación, procedimientos pictóricos, teoría del color, los colores de la piel aplicados al desnudo, veladuras, técnicas de pintura directa, evolución histórica de la pintura y amplía más sus conocimientos en la Academia de Artes Guerrero de Bogotá.
Su actividad pictórica se fundamenta principalmente en el paisaje, donde se percibe una influencia de los grandes maestros naturalistas del siglo XIX, con un acentuado sentido por contrastes matizados de luces y sombras que se funden en coloridos empastes al óleo con los que construye sus volúmenes.
Ha sido merecedora de varias publicaciones en catálogos, libros, revistas y periódicos a nivel nacional e internacional.

The artist Angela Maria Botero, begins in the hand painting of his mother, who instilled his love of oil painting, expanding its expertise and knowledge with Master Carlos Tulio Suárez, a graduate of the University with the learner support and priming, painting procedures, color theory, colors applied to bare skin, glazing, direct painting techniques, historical evolution of painting and more extensive knowledge in the Academy of Arts Warrior of Bogotá.
Its activity is based mainly on painting the landscape, which is perceived influence of the great masters of the nineteenth century naturalist with a keen sense of nuanced contrasts of light and shadow colored fillings blend in with the oil that builds their volumes.
